Hire charges
The boats are available to hire from 9:30am until 5:30pm each day. You may arrive at 9:00am for the handover procedure, which takes about 20 mins. A DVD is available from us for you to watch before your hire date – The Boaters Manual from the Canal and River Trust – please ask for one, especially if you are a canal novice.
Rates are £220 per day on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays and £180 per day during the week. Half day hire is available Monday to Friday at £110.
There is a £200 security deposit which is refunded when the boat has been returned in good condition.
An £80 deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance is due 7 days before the hire date.
If your booking is 7 days or less from the hire date, you will be charged the full hire cost plus the £200 security deposit at the time of booking.
Please read the Conditions of Hire which form the basis of the contract between You and the Company.
Evening cruises are available by arrangement and a steerer is available if you are not confident to steer the boat or all of your party want to relax.
All Stag and Hen dos must have a steerer and full capacity of the boats are required to have steerer unless ample time of experience on steering.

By submitting this form I declare that I am over 18 years of age, will be responsible for the good conduct of the party, and will return the boat in a tidy and clean condition by the finish time agreed. I have read and agree to the Conditions of Hire.
Please telephone us on 02476 344766 during office hours if you want to pay the booking deposit by card, otherwise please call into Boot Wharf in person if you want to pay in cash. We are open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, Sat 10am-5pm and Sun 11am-4pm.
